HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Emily and Tucker always come to trick or treat me at work. We have one lady that goes all out as you can see.She says she's a zombie but I think one of the company trucks ran over her, and backed up and ran over her again. First thing Tucker said was -I'm not afraid of you, but he didn't let her get too close.

Tucker is Indiana Jones and Emily is Hannah Montana-- notice the State theme? next year they will need to go as an Idaho Spud.
We begged the neighbors to bring their grandkids to trick or treat. We live so far out that I have to brib kids to come, I give them big bags of candy and $dollar store stuff. Emily and Tucker will come by the house tonight to see grandpa, they will stop by on the way to the Church harvest party.

Blowing out the sprinklers

Time to get the pipes blown out, it's been so warm it's hard to think about getting freezing temps. The trees are still loaded with leaves, so what is probably going to happen is the weather will turn nasty and wet and we won't be able to get the lawn cleaned up until ..... who knows, we've been out in January cleaning up leaves before.
We borrowed my brothers air compressor, thanks David.

The peach trees behind our house, are finally getting some color.

I'm so glad that the family that bought the property in front of our house, put hay in, no more blowing dirt.

I love to take pictures of my flowers, but most of the time they don't turn out, so I will just keep trying.

PUMPKIN PATCH

Today we went to a Pumpkin Patch, we had a great time. Hadley riding a pony with her aunt Amy tagging along....just in case.
This little goat is sticking his tongue out at Hadley, naughty goat.

Our favorite animal at the petting zoo was the camel, he/she was so friendly.

We went on a Hay ride.

The kids went on a train ride, they were pulled by a lawn mower.

They wandered through the staw bale maze. We didn't take the kids through the corn maze, Hadley's mom said that she freaked out when she went with her preschool class.

The weather was perfect. Gary was shocked by how many people were there.

You will never guess what I'm doing!

I'm listening to Mozart, I know it's crazy. I received a CD from Classic Composers. If I send back the Gift Certificate I will receive a gift package worth 64.95 and every 3 weeks for just 14.95 plus shipping I will receive a CD's from another composer. I wasn't even going to open the the "JUNK MAIL" but I'm glad I did, because I'm enjoying the music. I'm so tempted to sign up. I usually listen to ELVIS, or RICKY NELSON, or my favorite THE EVERLY BROTHERS.

I'm scrapbooking and getting culture.....or not----- and Gary is watching the Boise State game. Not a bad Friday night.

Leaves

The leaves are still on the trees! What's that all about? oh must be global warming. What I like best about having lots of trees is watching my grandkids play in the piles of leaves. I'm afraid this year by the time the leaves fall, it will be to cold to have fun.

MISSON ACCOMPLISHED

I did it........ I now have a clean scrapbook table and an organized space to work in. I still have several hundred pictures to put in order but I can do that in the evenings. And...I found what I was looking for, they were in last place I looked ;) It really is a good thing I didn't find them sooner, or I might have been tempted to stop my clean up. I had checked every box, file, cubby hole, closet, bag and I couldn't find them. So I sat in my chair and prayed, I asked God to help me find them I explained to him that I had a lot of money and time invested in them and that I was now ready to finish my project (8x8 scrapbook pages that I had put together but hadn't put pictures on) any way I opened my eyes and there they were in one of those plastic stacking drawers next to the table. I know I looked in the drawers before.....

Today is our pumpkin carving / Sept. and Oct birthday party at my sister's house. The Chicken chili is in the crockpot, the Golden Graham smores are done. The gift bags for the kids are finished. The birthday presents are ready to go. I think there is going to be 33 people - man that's crazy. I can't wait..........pictures later.

TRYING TO CLEAN IT UP!

I want to clean up my STUDIO, okay, okay, It's not my studio it's the office/reloading/scrapbook room. I would be easier to just light a fire. Ick. I have so many treasures, (junk) and I don't want to get rid of it, you never know I might need that button/ribbon/paper/that weird thing I found in the shop. It just might be the perfect thing to complete the page. Anyway that's what I'm doing today....

I E-MAILED RUSH TODAY

I listen to Rush everyday at work and he was talking about Joe-the plumber and said there has to be a lot of people in the United States just like Joe. I was really just thinking about blogging my feelings but instead I just e-mailed Rush---I don't know what came over me.

To: 'EIRUSHBO@eibnet.com'
Subject: Yes, we are Joe the Plumber

Also we are clingers. We cling to our guns and Religion – We’re not bitter….yet. Oh and We are white trash, because we like Sarah. We also benefit from the trickle down affect. Yes, Obama it works for Gary and me.
We want the rich to get richer ----the richer the better. Cut their taxes…We want them to have so much money that they just don’t know what to do with it. We want them to have pet projects and want them to hire shops to restore those pet projects. One of those rich people have hired a shop in CO to work on his project, they have subcontracted part of that project to our shop in ID and we have someone in WA working on part of the project, plus we have hired 2 full time employees and 2 part time. The Trickle down Effect works for us. We are also worried about being taxed out of a job.

Thanks

Jewel

TAGGED

I Have Been Tagged
I was tagged by http://farsideoffifty.blogspot.com/
My Six Quirks
1. I read lots and lots of blogs, but only know two people who blog, my daughter and her friend.
2. I hate it when people stand close to me at the check out stand, I try to put my cart between me and them.
3. I very rarely pay full price for anything. I like to bargain shop. Except for food-- see below.
4. I only buy name brand foods. That started with Xhusband.
5. If I don't think I can do a good job with something, I don't try. (I have never made homemade pie crust, beside Pillsbury is good)
6. I have a hard time finishing projects
This is the first time I've ever been tagged.

Busy Week

I haven't posted since last Tuesday, because ......I took 3 days off during harvest. I came back to a huge pile of work, I'm thinking it wasn't worth it. I'm still trying to catch up. I come home and crash. And...
Someone decided that harvest would be a good time to re-carpet the front offices, so last Thursday everyone had to box up their desks and files. Then on Friday we sat at desks in dispatch. But after spending the day listening to their problems ... trying to find trucks, trying to get trucks rerouted to another location.......I decided my job isn't so bad.

I spent Saturday with my granddaughter Hadley, we had fun. We built a tent in the dining room, we made pictures with stickers, we tried to shoot a toy bow and arrow, but with out luck, so we just licked the ends and stuck them to the sliding glass door. Then we took a nap.

Sunday afternoon I worked on a scrapbook project, I'm almost done....finally.

Tonight I'm blogging, cause I really don't care much for football. But Gary doesn't care much for "HOUSE" or "BONES" so we are even.

This is what Gary had done today

Gingival Flap Surgery Article Gum Disease Colgate® Oral Care Information Common Concerns

Poor Gary

Gary had dental surgery this morning. The Post OP instructions say Flap Surgery and Bone Graft. I'm not sure if it is two different procedures or if the bone graft is part of the Flap surgery. Anyway we have two sets of post operative instructions. He needs to keep hydrated but he's been sleeping since we got home, 5 hours. I wonder if he will sleep tonight. He had the same thing done on the other side of his mouth a year ago, I don't remember him being so out of it, so groggy. He hasn't had anything to eat for almost 24 hours, he doesn't care for soup, but that's what he'll be getting.

Scrapbooking, Sort of.....

I took a few days off, thinking we would travel to Utah, but decided to stay home....I've mentioned this before. Anyway -Today, my daughter Amy came over and we scrapbooked. I guess you can call it that. I bought a scrapbook kit from QVC--my first purchase---It came with all the paper, embellishments and album to finish a very nice girly project. It also came with a computer program so that you can print off digital pages to match the traditional paper and glue book. I finished the scrapbook, except I don't have the pictures glued down, in fact I don't have any idea what pictures to put on the pages. I thought about a family book, with my mom and dad and their kids and the grandkids and the great grandkids. Then I thought, It's kind of girly, I should do it for just the girls....mom, me, my daughters, my daughter-in-law, my sister my neices my granddaughters, and I'll put my step daughters and ........ I find it so hard to actually finish a project. I have at least 5 scrapbook kits that just need to have pictures glued down. HELP!!

ps --I said that today's project was my first QVC purchase, but my 2nd and 3rd QVC purchase arrived today. More Projects.................

pss ---QVC makes it so easy --just click one button and it's mine!!!!

psss---why is it that I can read and reread and check again for spelling mistakes and only after I publish the post and ... read the blog do I find mistakes?

Another ATV Ride

Strange desert weed/flower

Tiny purple flowers and the stem is striped white and purple

Near the Owhyee Dam

Gary and I were going to take a few days off and travel to southern Utah. We thought that riding our quads near Moab would be great fun. However, with everything going on with the bailout and talk of a recession, we decided to stay home. Yesterday we explored closer to home.
